RESCHEDULED: A Silent Birthday Song: The General. In celebration of The Strand’s first birthday. Relive a piece of Marietta's history about a famous locomotive chase that started in Marietta. The 1926 flick, The General, is a comedic masterpiece starring Buster Keaton and featuring live organ accompaniment on The Strand’s Mighty Theatre Organ by Ron Carter. Other entertainment will include the Little General Cloggers, Harper Harris, lead interpreter from the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History, and Russell Bonds, author of Stealing the General. Tickets are $7-8 and are available through The Strand’s box office.
Tickets which were purchased for the January showing are still good and assigned seating will remain the same.
