Christian Aid Mission Program: Spring Chicken Run, Race Against Hunger

Come join the fun and run (or walk) for a good cause on Saturday, March 27, 2010. The 8th Annual Spring Chicken Run—A Race Against Hunger benefits the Christian Aid Mission Partnership (C.A.M.P.), a local relief agency serving the West Cobb communities of Powder Springs, Austell, Mableton, and Clarkdale, and East Douglas County. CAMP has served the community for forty-one years. All Run proceeds support hunger programs administered by C.A.M.P. serving over 2,100 people a month.
The Run is hosted at Macland Presbyterian Church located at 3615 Macland Road in Powder Springs. This event for all ages includes a 5K, 1 Mile Fun Run, Spirit Walk, and Tot Trot. Races begin at 8:30 a.m. Activities for kids, refreshments, and music provided.
Register on-line at www.active.com or print the race form and directions at www.svcamp.org. Pre-registration for the 5K is $20 and $15 for the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Race day registration is $25. Spirit Walkers enter with a minimum $20 in pledges. The Spring Chicken Run is overseen by Racing Solutions and awards will be given. For more information, please call 770-819-0662, ext. 17.
