Rhett Bonner began building high-end custom homes with his father, Jerry Bonner, 14 years ago. Most of Bonner’s magnificent homes can be found in Buckhead, but over the last decade this father-son duo has expanded into Cobb County. One striking example of Bonner’s unique work is the new home on Whitlock Avenue belonging to Governor and Mrs. Roy Barnes.
Bonner homes are known for craftsmanship and high quality. Although he planned to attend medical school, a change of heart led Bonner to join the Marietta-based family business in 1995. Bonner began by digging ditches and hauling wood. Now he manages projects, coordinating a massive team of architects, landscapers and designers.
“I enjoy the personal relationships,” said Bonner. “We take the home owner’s thoughts and vision and turn it into the home they’ve dreamed of.”
